Archbishop's Pallium

“A Shepherd’s Mission,”

Archbishop Vigneron’s blog

Archbishop Allen Vigneron has started a blog to keep in touch with the faithful of the archdiocese as he travels to Rome to receive his pallium. A pallium is a thin, woolen vestment that goes over the shoulders of an archbishop, and it signifies his sharing in the Pope’s ministry to be a shepherd to God’s people on earth. As this is a new way in which our Archbishop is trying to reach out to Catholics in the archdiocese – younger Catholics, especially – we’re hoping that you might want to log in and keep up with Archbishop Vigneron on his pilgrimage. (Who knows, if he likes it enough, he might start Twittering!). The blog is already up and running, and the archbishop will be checking in daily. Visitors to the site also will hear from and be able to converse with others who are sharing in the archbishop’s pilgrimage. Again just click on......
